Terms of Service

Welcome to FolksAround, a friendship app operated by AA Ecom Industries ("Company", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the FolksAround mobile application and related services (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use FolksAround. The Service is designed for adults — particularly parents, grandparents and folks 50+ — looking for platonic, local friendship. By using the Service, you represent that you can form a binding contract with us and are not barred from using the Service under any applicable law.

2. Community standards

Sexual solicitation, escort services, and adult content are not permitted on the Service. Violations result in immediate removal.

3. Your account

You are responsible for your account, your activity, and keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us promptly at Hello@Folksaround.app of any unauthorized use.

4. User conduct

• Be kind, respectful and honest in every interaction.
• Do not harass, threaten, defraud or discriminate against other members.
• Do not post unlawful, hateful, sexual, violent or misleading content.
• Do not impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Do not use the Service for commercial solicitation, spam or pyramid schemes.
• Meet only in public places. Use common sense for in-person safety.

5. Content you submit

You retain ownership of content you submit (profile photos, messages, posts). You grant AA Ecom Industries a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this license.

6. Zero-tolerance policy

Consistent with Apple App Store guideline 1.2, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. We provide in-app tools to block users and report content. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours and offending users may be removed.

7. Mobile data, roaming and third-party charges

FolksAround is provided free to download and use. However, your mobile carrier may charge for data, SMS, or roaming. AA Ecom Industries is not responsible for any data, roaming, international, or other carrier charges incurred while using the Service, including any charges arising from use outside the United States. You are solely responsible for understanding your carrier plan and any fees that apply.

8. In-person meetings & assumption of risk

Meetups organized through FolksAround occur off-platform between independent adults. AA Ecom Industries does not conduct criminal background checks on members, does not supervise meetings, and is not a party to any plans made through the Service. You participate in meetups at your own risk.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any conduct we judge harmful to the community. You may delete your account at any time from the app.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AA Ecom Industries and its officers, employees and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold AA Ecom Industries harmless from any claim arising out of your violation of these Terms, your content, or your interactions with other members.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, except where prohibited by law.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
